Euro 2016 tickets

euro_2016_ticketsHow to get Euro 2016 tickets?
The last Euro 2016 ticket lottery was held in March 2016.

Many people are worried and think that for those who failed in ticketing lottery it was the last chance to get Euro 2016 tickets at face value. But this is not exactly the true.

At the moment you can buy tickets from the second hand ticketing portals for the higher price. High demand tickets like England vs Wales for example can cost over £ 370 for the 3rd category tickets. If you can afford it you shouldn’t waste your time and buy them now.

However for those who want to get their tickets at face value there would be still a chance to get Euro 2016 tickets.

How to do this? I will tell you because I know how it was during previous European Football Championships in Poland and Ukraine in 2012.

What you should know is that the large number of tickets were allocated to French from host-cities and VIP’s or business clients before groups stage draw were known.
Due to fact that tickets are not cheap, especially ticketing packages many of the ticket owners could want to resale them and take their many back.

Especially for them, Uefa will lunch on March 2016 official tickets resale portal to allow customers who cannot use Euro 2016 tickets they won in the lottery to resell them at face value minus 10% for Uefa.
So, you will be able to buy tickets of people who resigned but you will pay 10% extra for that.

Please note that you must have a credit card valid at least through August 2016, both for selling or buying tickets.

How it was during Euro 2012?

Everyone who was logged in Uefa’s ticketing portal was able to buy „hot” tickets for European Football Championship matches. Even most demand tickets like for hosts, opening game tickets or tickets for England, Republic of Ireland or Germany.
However, it wasn’t permanent. When similar ticket portal was lunch during Euro 2012 I’ve noticed that Uefa’s adding new tickets at the same time at 9 o’clock every day.

Each day, I was waiting logged in from 8:30 for this magic hour to check if any tickets were available.

Due to fact that tickets won’t be cheap, especially ticketing packages (we talk about thousands of Euros) everybody should apply for tickets cautiously.

Similar to Euro 2012 probably every fan would have an opportunity to buy maximum 4 tickets.
There would be several Euro 2016 tickets ordering options:
– individual match tickets,
– follow my team group/tournament,
– venue series.

Euro 2016 ticket prices starts from €25

Another option to get Euro 2016 tickets is a possibility to get tickets through Uefa’s official sponsors.
Uefa’s and Euro 2016 official sponsors promote their companies with Euro 2016 tickets as prizes.
Uefa’s official partners are: Adidas, Carlsberg, Coca-Cola, Continental, Hisense, Hyundai and Kia, McDonald, Orange, Socar, Turkich Airlines.

    Bravo France 2016!
Finally we will have a football event showcasing all the European football nations, not a financial fiasco bankrolling Football execs and bankrupting the country. France 2016 will be the benchmark for those which follow.

How would this work when they go on sale in June? Can you pick games and maoney taken from your account when released? If you book for a game and don’t fancy watching it when the draw is made can you cancel before charged?

    1. Admin Reply

During first phase of tickets resale when we exactly don’t know who will qualify you will be able to apply for „follow your team/group/tournament” packages, venue series, opening and finals stage games.

So at this moment it’s like lottery. You don’t know where, when and with who your team will be playing.
Only French can be sure that France will play in opening game on 10 June, 2016. The rest 23 teams will be drawn into groups on 12 December, 2015.

In June 2015 Uefa will lunch ticketing portal where fans will be able to apply for tickets.

After ticketing lottery drawn people will be able to login to Uefa’s ticketing portal and check if they were lucky or not. Even if so, you wouldn’t get tickets until one or two months before the tournament in June, 2016.

After tickets lottery everybody will be able to resign and get money back but you will be charged in 10% for that.

Later if you won’t be drawn in the first phase of tickets resale you will be able to try buy tickets of people who resigned on Uefa’s ticketing portal but you will pay 10% extra for that.

Due to fact that tickets won’t be cheap, especially packages everybody should apply for tickets cautiously.

    Hey!

What is the best way to get game tickets to Nice or Marseille on group stage matches? I will be two weeks in Nizza during the group stage. We have group of six guys so is it possible to buy several tickets by one person or is there some limitation?

  24. Tapsa Reply

    Okey!

So I have to register to UEFA”s ticket selling? And if I get change to buy tickets from lottery, I can buy tickets right? Can I choose before lottery what kind of tickets and game cities I am interested in? Or is it possible that I get tickets to Paris or Lille even if I am interested in only tickets to Nice or Marseille?

    I didn’t unserstand this :

After tickets lottery everybody will be able to resign and get money back but you will be charged in 10% for that.

Get money back after tickets lottery and will be charged in 10% for that? So should I give moneys to UEFA before tickets lottery and if I don’t get tickets they will take 10%?

    1. Admin Reply

First, register at uefa’s ticketing portal. They should lunch ticketing portal at the beggining of June 2015. After they lunch portal you will have a possibility to choose what kind of tickets you want. You will have options to buy tickets for: venue series for example Nice, follow your team packages or individual match tickets but at this moment it’s a lottery. We only know that France will play in opening game.
Due to your question about the money. If you want to buy tickets you must have a credit card. And if you will be drawn you will be charged by Uefa. In case you will resign they will give you money back – 10%.

  27. Sarah Reply

If we purchase tickets during the initial phase (June 10 – July 10) a.k.a. the lottery phase will we still be able to pick which team we would like to see?? Or are we stuck with whatever group / number we picked tickets for during that time?
    For Example:

    If picked Thursday June 16 – 6:00 p.m. @ Lyon C2 Vs. C4

Would I be stuck to whatever teams are put in this group? Or could this be changed?

  28. Paul davies Reply

Rather confused. Interested in selecting to purchase tickets to watching my team. I have registered an account and been on the ticket portal but can only find selective venues or multiple match tickets. Why cant I see my team and what happens if I purchase tickets and my team is not playing at that venue or on that date?…..help
